First foray into blogging
Hello and welcome to my website.
I am Adam, and I am trying my best to become a more full-fledged developer than before. For the first step I am creating the very website, you're reading this on, so please, join me in my journey.
There are multiple reasons for me starting this site, among which the first would be my friends' and colleagues' urging, to start something like this, as teaching and explaining things is the second best way to learn about things.
The first is obviously doing the thing itself, and that is the second reason for the website. It will function as a kind of blog about my road and exploration deeper into technology, while also being a project itself. As right now, I am typing it into a simple .txt, with only a vague idea about how to go on from here.
The third reason is that I want to feel some kind of pressure on myself, as the publicity of the blog forms a social contract between me and the void of the Internet. It is much harder to procrastinate while making commitments publicly, as I feel I'd have much more responsibility on delivering my promises.
The fourth and final reason is that I want to improve my english and writing skills, as my communication skills can be rather lacking at times. Again, practice makes perfect.
So for now I'm starting with AWS, I want to feel comfortable clicking and using it. I've already done the "Build a Serverless Web Application" tutorial, so the rest should be a breeze... right?
I am also utilizing Cloud Guru to get a basic idea of what I should be doing. So hopefully you get to see this post soon.
For now, my 'task' for myself for the week is to figure out a way to host it properly, and to write a todo/future feature list. I already have some ideas about some fun projects I want to do. Or at least I want to want to do. Till next time!
